Hey St. Charles: Were You or Your Kids Dancing in Lincoln Park on Thursday?

Howard and the White Boys closed the summer Concert in the Park series at Lincoln Park on Thursday, although the Park District has plans for something similar next month.

If you love the blues — and by all appearances Thursday evening, many did — then Lincoln Park was the place to be as Howard and the White Boys, one of the Chicago area’s favorite blues bands, brought its smooth, electric sound to the Lincoln Park Gazebo in downtown St. Charles.

The kids were not the only ones dancing Thursday — one couple in particular demonstrated a grace and closeness on the “dance floor” that could only have come from practice and a mutual passion for the music and the form of self-expression.

The concert series is hosted by the St. Charles Park District.
