Howard and the White Boys Perform Thursday in Lincoln Park

The St. Charles Park District wraps up its Concert in the Park series for the season this week.

Howard and the White Boys will bring its brand of “blues with a funky groove” to Lincoln Park at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, as the St. Charles Park District wraps ups its free summer Concerts in the Park series for the season.


Known as one of Chicago’s favorite blues bands, Howard and the White Boys begins its performance at 7 p.m. in the Lincoln Park Gazebo, according to a Park District release. Lincoln Park is along West Main Street, between 4th and 5th streets.


According to the Park District release, Howard and the White Boys “will keep you movin’ and groovin’ all night long.

Arrive early to secure a parking spot and a nice place to sit — in fact, bring your lawn chairs and a blanket and make yourself comfortable before the music begins. You can bring your own food, however, some of downtown St. Charles’ restaurants will be on hand as they have been all summer to offer picnic-style offerings at reasonable rates from such local vendors as Kimmer’s Ice Cream, Domino's Pizza, Must Love Dogs, and Jersey Mike’s.


Alcohol is not permitted at Lincoln Park.

In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to the Arcada Theatre, 105 E. Main St. Musicians are subject to change without notice.  For more information about Concerts in the Park, visit stcparks.org or call the Park District at 630-513-6200.
