Riverfest Returns to St. Charles This Weekend; New Activities Planned

New activities this year include a Fantasy Sand Sculpture Contest, Bachelor Charity Auction and the St. Charles Ducky Derby.

All new family-friendly activities, three days of free, live music, a carnival, and many more events will kick off summer at RiverFest June 6 to 8 in downtown St. Charles.

A complete schedule of activities and entertainment lineup is available at www.prideofthefox.net or above, and a printed brochure is available at City Hall and throughout the 10 venues during festival.

“We are excited to bring so many new activities, events and entertainment to the City of St. Charles RiverFest”, stated Julie Farris, Executive Director of Pride of the Fox, producers of the festival. “Attendees will be able to find something for every member of their family at this year’s festival”.

New activities this year include:
  • Fantasy Sand Sculpture Contest with voting by the festival attendees Special Family Night for families with special needs children
  • VFW Barbeque Venue with Swifty Swine Racing Pigs
  • “The Garage” radio show live taping with 103.9 The Fox Native American Gathering and Indian Village
  • Bachelor Charity Auction
  • St. Charles Ducky Derby
The fest’s many iconic events, such as the Dragon Boat races and a water ski show on the Fox River at Pottawatomie Park, return to the fest.

The Sand Sculpture celebrates its 20th year at the festival with two sculptures being crafted by two world record holding teams. Festival attendees are invited to meet the artists and vote for their favorite teams, either Team Xfinity or Team Lafarge Fox River Stone.

The Arcada Live & 103.9 The Fox Main Stage boasts three days of free, live music and entertainment.

RiverFest is a community festival that is produced and organized by volunteer residents and business owners from Pride of the Fox.
