Were You and Your Kids Dancing to 7th Heaven?

If you haven’t heard of 7th heaven, you must be new to the Chicago region.

The noted band was eagerly awaited by crowds that gathered well ahead of the 7 p.m. performance Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013 at Lincoln Park as part of the  St. Charles Park District’s Concerts in the Park series.

While children often fill the concrete “dance floor” in front of the gazebo during most of these free concerts, this one was different — adults and teens staked out places directly in front of the gazebo before the music started. This time, it was a mix of adults and youngsters who were nodding their heads, tapping their feet and even dancing energetically to the sounds of the band.
