Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Great Strides Walk Set for Sunday
Walk begins in Pottawatomie Park in St. Charles and stretches for three miles along Fox River.

The walk, organized by the Illinois Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, begins at 8:30 a.m. Great Strides, now in its 23rd year, raises critical funds for life-saving research, education and care programs for cystic fibrosis, a fatal genetic disease. The walk in St. Charles is one of 650 similar walks taking place across the country.
In 2011, the Fox Valley Great Strides walk raised $47,000 and rallied over 300 supporters. The 2011 Great Strides event raised more than $38 million.
