Naperville's Blackfinn Saloon hosts event in Woodridge to benefit The Hundred Club of DuPage County.

More than 80 golfers and guests turned out Thursday for a charity golf outing that raised $2,000 for The Hundred Club of DuPage County.

Sponsored by Blackfinn American Saloon of Naperville at Seven Bridges Golf Course in Woodridge, the event included 18 holes of golf, cart rental, lunch, beverages, gifts and a dinner banquet at Blackfinn, according to a release.

“It was exciting to see so many community leaders and DuPage County residents come out to support and really honor the police and fire personnel who put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe. Blackfinn was glad to raise funds and do its part for such a worthy cause,” Johnson said in the release.

Hundred Club President Lisa Savegnago said in the release that these types of fundraisers sponsored by local businesses provide the needed funds to care for police and firefighting personnel and their families when an injury or death occurs while on duty.
