Two St. Charles Agencies Among Recipients of Donated Chicken

80,000 pounds of poultry were distributed to more than 60 soup kitchens, food pantries and homeless shelters in the Chicago area on Nov. 3.

Two St. Charles organizations that help the needy are among more than 60 soup kitchens, food pantries and homeless shelters in the Chicago area to benefit from the donation of 80,000 pounds of chicken made Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, by Hunger Resource Network and the HEAR (Health, Education and Relief) Foundation. St. Charles Lazarus House, 214 Walnut St., and The Salvation Army Tri-City Corps, 1710 S. 7th Ave., are among the recipients of the donated chicken, according to a release from the Hunger Resource Network and the HEAR Foundation.
