Campton Hills House Theft Suspect Gets Attorney
Recently captured fugitive Daniel R. Kellogg appears in Kane County courtroom.
The area man who in 2011 reportedly fled to Turkey to avoid imprisonment on fraud and theft charges related to the theft of a home he rented in Campton Hills appear ready to make a deal with prosecutors, the Kane County Chronicle reports. Daniel R. Kellogg, 38, who was arrested in St. Charles on Jan. 19, appeared in Judge John Barsanti’s court on Thursday and said he wants to make a deal, according to the Chronicle, which also reported that Kellogg told the judge he wanted to represent himself. Barsanti talked him out of it, and appointed a public defender to represent Kellogg. Campton Hills police were assisted by St. Charles police and the Kane County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 19 in arresting Kellogg, 38, after authorities received a tip …
