The Downtown St. Charles Partnership is looking for performers for its new program, STC Live! The new program, which the partnership announced in a release on Monday, intends to help create activity by coordinating live, free entertainment in downtown businesses. Nearly 80 entries, 800 people participated in St. Charles’ St. Patrick’s Parade.
The Downtown St. Charles Partnership has announced the winners of the 2013 St. Patrick’s Parade, which featured almost 80 parade entries and about 800 people on Saturday, March 16. Parade Grand Marshal Rosie Martinez was recognized for helping establish the first St. Patrick’s Parade in 2000. Saturday’s parade featured bands, Irish dancers, authentic Irish music, school groups, Girl Scouts, service clubs, and floats. Earlier in the day, there was a Deck out Your Lucky Dog Contest sponsored by the St. Charles Veterinary Clinic and a Dance Show at the Arcada Theatre that featured area dance troupes.
