Former Geneva Leader Jack Ryan Dies at Age 78
Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 3, at Malone Funeral Home in Geneva. Prayers will be held at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, proceeding to St. John Neumann Catholic Church for funeral Mass at 10 a.m.
Former Geneva businessman, alderman and Geneva Chamber of Commerce President John A. “Jack” Ryan has died at the age of 78. Ryan, of St Charles and formerly of Geneva died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Delnor Hospital in Geneva surrounded by his family. Ryan was the owner-operator of Ryan Automotive in Geneva for many years. He was very involved in local organizations and served the community as an alderman, president of Geneva Chamber of Commerce, a member of Delnor Foundation Board and a president of the St Peter School Board. He was also a longtime member of Geneva Lions Club and St. John Neumann Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and Eucharistic minister.
