Police ID Woman Found Dead Near Kaneland School
The woman was on the ground near a vehicle Wednesday morning. Here is her identity.
Police on Wednesday identified the woman who was found dead that morning north of Kaneland High School. The woman is 57-year-old Joyce David of Elburn, according to a Kane County Sheriff's Department press release. David was found near a crossover sports-utility vehicle that was pulled over on the side of Meredith Road north of Keslinger Road in unincorporated Kaneville Township, police said. The SUV is a family vehicle, Lt. Pat Gengler said. It did not appear to have any visible damages to police. A passerby called police Wednesday at about 7:30 a.m. to report the vehicle pulled over on the road. Deputies found David at the scene.
