After months and months of political campaigning the races are over and all that remains is for the votes to be tabulated. Results for Congress, state and local races will be shared here once final vote totals are announced.
The presidential campaign is over now. Local races have grown increasingly contentious in the days leading up to Nov. 6. Now, the endless campaigning comes to an end and the attack ads will cease. All that remains is for the votes to be tallied and the winners announced. We will be updating the results for Congress, state and local races of interest to residents in St. Charles, Geneva and Batavia once the ballots are tabulated. State Sen. Chris Lauzen is inviting local military families with active servicemen and women to record and send a free personalized Holiday season video greeting to their deployed family members. Through the generosity of the Illinois Center for Broadcasting in Lombard, military families can record a free professional digital video message which will be transmitted via Facebook to their loved ones during this Christmas season. Kevin Burns gets the support of five Republican township chairs in his bid for Kane County Board Chairman.
Five Republican Party township chairs have endorsed Kevin Burns' campaign for the Republican nomination as Kane County Board chairman. The Geneva mayor faces state Sen. Chris Lauzen in the March primary. "We are pleased to support Kevin Burns' campaign," said Mark Wissing, the GOP chair for Geneva Township. "This is a leadership position, and it needs to be filled by an administrator with the appropriate experience." Republican organizations exist to support ALLl the Republican candidates. Endorsements by these chairmen of one Republican candidate over another are inappropriate. Endorse all you want as an individual, but not as chairmen.   more ›
