Rogina Announces Run for St. Charles Mayor
Third Ward alderman makes bid for post two weeks after Mayor Donald DeWitte announces he will not seek a third term.
St. Charles 3rd Ward Alderman Raymond P. Rogina on Friday became the first person to publicly declare his candidacy for mayor in 2013, just two weeks after Donald DeWitte announced he would not seek a third term. “I, Raymond P. Rogina, announce my candidacy for mayor of St. Charles,” Rogina wrote in a release issued Friday. “As in my candidacy for alderman, I view public service as a wonderful opportunity. “It is an opportunity to improve our community with the help of colleagues, staff, and citizens,” he wrote. “I have a strong bond with the city of St. Charles.
