9-Foot Horse, Knight Sculpture Stolen From Randall Road

Geneva police reports: It's not every day someone takes a 9-foot sculpture made out of car parts.

The sculpture isn't something you see every day—a 9-foot-tall horse and knight made entirely from bicycle parts. And now, of course, you can't see it every day because someone stole it. That's right, someone, somehow took a 9-foot piece of art out of a public right of way on one of the busiest roads in town and got away with it. At least, so far. The statue in question is the one that used to sit just outside City Hall near the Geneva library. It was moved not too long ago to the parkway on the west of the 100 block of South Randall Road near Fargo Boulevard, where someone took it sometime between noon Jan. 3 and noon Jan. 6, according to Geneva police reports. I thinks it's best value is at $0.17/lb It's an eyesore and I would have paid someone to take it away if it was near my house.   more ›
