Volunteers Sought for St. Patrick’s Parade in St. Charles

Pacers, banner carriers, general volunteers and parade marshals are needed for annual event in downtown St. Charles on March 16.

The Downtown St. Charles Partnership seeks volunteers who want to give back to the community and volunteer their time at the St. Patrick’s Parade down Main Street at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013.   A release issued Monday by the partnership states that volunteers are needed for the following areas: Volunteers would be required to arrive one to two hours in advance of the 2 p.m. parade. The arrival time depends upon the area of interest. To volunteer, the release asks volunteers to please fill out the volunteer form on the St Patrick’s Parade website, www.downtownstcharles.org/stpats. Deadline Nears for St. Charles St. Patrick’ Parade

Entries Sought for 2013 downtown St. Charles spring holiday parade.

The Feb. 20 deadline is nearing to register for the St. Patrick’s Parade, which is being organized this year by the Downtown St. Charles Partnership. The parade is scheduled to step off at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, on Main Street, from 6th Street o 4th Avenue. Parade entries are sought from businesses and nonprofit organizations. The annual event is under the direction of the Downtown St. Charles Partnership, which also organizes the annual Electric Christmas Parade. Organizations and business that wish to participate must complete an entry form, obtain a certificate of insurance, sign off on the rules and regulations, and return the documents along with the appropriate entrance fee, if required, to the Downtown St. Charles Partnership …
