St. Charles police reports from Sunday, May 12, 2013 through Monday, May 20, 2013.

MONDAY, MAY 20, 2013 An 86-year-old resident of the 200 block of Chasse Circle reported at 11:38 a.m. an incident of attempted wire fraud. The woman told police she had received a call that caller ID stated originated in Kingston, Jamaica, and that the caller, who had a thick accent, tried to convince her she had won a prize, ranging from $100,000 to $1 million, from the Publishers Clearinghouse sweepstakes. The caller said that to claim her prize, the woman would have to pay a fee, and instructed her to go to Walmart and purchase a Green Dot MoneyPak cash card, load the card with the required fee, and call a number where the fee would be processed. She also was urged to hurry, because the prize committee was supposed to drop off her prize…

St. Charles police reports from Wednesday, May 15, 2013 through Monday, May 20, 2013.

MONDAY, MAY 20, 2013 Jordan R. Poole, 26, of the 00-99 block of Stonewood Drive, was arrested at 2:11 a.m. in the 1100 block of East Main Street on a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear in court on a driving under the influence charge. He was unable to post bond and was transported to the DuPage County Jail pending a court appearance. SUNDAY, MAY 19, 2013 Amedia Cymbals USA, of Verona, N.J., reported at 8:25 p.m. the theft of a set of Turkish-made cymbals in a black plastic case during a drum show at the Kane County Fairgrounds, 525 S. St. Charles Police Cite Four in Fight on Main Street

One man’s crutches thrown aside in fracas that broke out as another man searched for “Vito,” according to police.

Police cited four people with fighting, and one also was cited with disorderly conduct-public drunkenness, after officers were called at 1:36 a.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013, to a fight at 2nd and West Main Streets. Joseph M. Rabiola, 27, of the 300 block of Burlington Road, Elgin, was cited with disorderly conduct, and with fighting. Also cited with fighting were Kyle E. Cullan, 23, of the 1300 block of North Field Court, Harvard; Michelle L. Cullan, 30, of the 7000 block of Cherry Valley Boulevard, Cherry Valley; and Victoria Anderson, 24, of the 6N100 block of Prairie Valley Drive, St. Charles. St. Charles police reports from Sunday, May 12, 2013 through Monday, May 13, 2013.

MONDAY, MAY 13, 2013 Leslie A. Ebersole, 53, of the 00-99 block of Highgate Course, was cited with failing to restrain her dog. A 35-year-old resident of the 800 block of South 5th Avenue reported at 12:32 a.m. that someone had forcibly entered his home, knocked over a 59-inch plasma TV, and taken two guitars and their cases from his living room. The guitars were a 1973 Hernandez acoustic valued at $2,500, and a Washburn electric Scott Ian signature guitar valued at $600. There was damage to the door of the home as well. Police recovered the guitars from the man’s girlfriend. Heather L. SATURDAY, MAY 11, 2013 Julio Aguirre, 46, of the 200 block of Morgan Street, Elgin, was charged at 12:22 a.m. on the 800 block of South Kirk Road with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, and failure to wear a safety belt. He posted his driver’s license and $100 cash bond, plus a $50 booking fee, and was released pending a June 6, 2013 court appearance. TUESDAY, MAY 7, 2013 Angelo Cassano, 52, of the 17W300 block of Oak Street, Addison, was charged at 2:39 p.m. at the St. Charles Police Department, 211 N. Riverside Drive, with violating a protection order. Gladis Avila, 26, of the 600 block of South 11th Avenue, was arrested at 3:24 p.m. at her home on two retail theft sentence warrants. She posted $1,000 cash bond, a $75 warrant fee and a $50 booking fee and was released pending a Jun 27, 2013 court appearance. MONDAY, APRIL 29, 2013 Nicolas Mercadante, 28, of the 1100 block of Ancient Oaks, Bartlett, was charged at 1:51 a.m. on the 100 block of South 1st Street with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, no insurance, and driving without headlights. Police said Mercadante’s vehicle had struck a parked vehicle in the parking lot of Kettley Realtors, 203 W. Main St. Mercadante posted his driver’s license and $300 cash bond and a $50 processing fee and was released pending a May 22, 2013 court appearance. SUNDAY, APRIL 28, 2013 Neema Saar Aleahmad, 31, of the 7N000 block of Riverside Drive, was cited at 12:38 a.m. with public urination at 9 N. 2nd St. Police on bar patrol said Aleahmad, with an alcoholic beverage in hand, jumped a brick retaining wall to exit a rear patio at Alley 64, 212 W. Main St. An Alley 64 employee gave chase and was joined by an employee of The Beehive Pub, 204 W. Main St., and followed Aleahmad to a Dumpster area, where he was drinking his drink and urinating on a Dumpster.
