Board of Education approves personnel report naming new principals, new North High head football coach.
Several schools will be getting new principals in the coming school year. The personnel report the St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 Board of Education approved on Monday night lists new hires, as well as staff resignations, retirements and terminations. The report shows that Pamela Jensen has been hired as principal at Haines Middle School. Jensen received her bachelor’s degree in education from Illinois State University in Normal, and her master’s in education from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb. Her past experience includes 13 years in Oswego School District 308, where she worked five years as a junior high school principal and eight years as an assistant principal. Wredling student holds his own against D-1 recruits.
A St. Charles student was named one of the nation’s top quarterback prospects for 2011, but he won’t graduate high school until 2016. Justin Berry, an 8th-grade student at Wredling Middle School, was named a Youth1 2011 Top Prospects by Youth1, a media company that focuses on youth sports. Berry was a key part of the New Level Athletics East Regional championship team, The Goon Squad. The team features players from across all high school grades, with at least ten of the athletes receiving multiple Division 1 scholarship offers. Not only is Berry a talent on the field, in January he was selected as Junior Rank Junior Academic All-Americans. District 303 students and staff will resurrect an 80s classic on Monday. Wredling Middle School students are set to perform dance moves from the music video for Michael Jackson's "Thriller" during gym classes. The students learned the moves as part of the dance unit in their physical education classes. Students will not be performing during the lunch periods, however. Follow St. Charles Patch on Facebook!
