Man Airlifted After Route 25 Crash Sunday Afternoon
The vehicle went about 60 feet off the road, according to officials. Here's what happened.
One man was airlifted to a hospital after a one-car crash Sunday afternoon on Route 25 south of Batavia, fire officials said. The crash occurred at the Red Oak Nature Center entrance on the 2300 block of South River Road (Route 25). Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene at about 2:50 p.m., said North Aurora Fire Capt. Mike Klemencic. The man was taken by helicopter to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. His condition and identity were not immediately available. A midsize or crossover sport utility-type vehicle was northbound on Route 25 when it struck a pole on the passenger side, Klemencic said.
