I must ask that you refrain from making personal attacks in your comments. I understand you certainly are entitled to your opinion, but opinions often are based on perceptions that may or may not be accurate.
Several bullet points listed under the Patch terms of service agreement (http://stcharles-il.patch.com/terms) reference this:
“You are solely responsible for the Content that you post on the Service or transmit to other users. Without limitation, you agree that you will not post or transmit to other users anything that contains Content that:
is defamatory, abusive, obscene, profane or offensive ...
is inaccurate, false or misleading in any way; ...”
