<i>Executive Director/Founder</i> of MACE (Movement and Combat Education). John is responsible for all educational content. John also works with the instructors to provide the best training possible. His background in theatre and education ensures students will be provided with nothing but the best. John’s movement background is specialized in stage combat. He is a Certified Teacher and Fight Choreographer with the Society of American Fight Directors, voluntarily serving as their Vice-President. He is on faculty at College of DuPage and has taught courses in stage combat, movement, and improvisation. John has also taught stage combat classes and workshops at numerous colleges and universities including DePaul University, Roosevelt University, Ball State University, Lincoln College, Elgin Community College and the summer session at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. As a fight choreographer, he has created violence for many productions in the Chicago area, working with companies such as Steppenwolf, Drury Lane Oakbrook, The Gift Theatre Company, Route 66 Theatre Company, Fox Valley Repertory, and Buffalo Theatre Ensemble.
