Wasco Baseball Responsible Sports grant presentation

Liberty Mutual Insurance will present a $2,500 check to Wasco Baseball for the Spring Community Grant program. 

The presentation will be on opening day of Wasco Baseball's fall season at Wasco Elementary School Field 4 (just south of the playground equipment), 4N782 School St., Wasco, IL. Saturday, August 24th at 9am. It will be held before an Instructional League game (6-7 year olds) that begins at 9am. 

Wasco Baseball was among 15 youth sports organizations nationwide that won the grant announced on June 19. 

Wasco community members showed their support for Wasco Baseball by participating in an online program at ResponsibleSports.com that guided them through various aspects of responsible youth sports coaching and parenting. Wasco's high participation level earned them one of this year's Responsible Sports Community Grants.
