They come in all shapes and colors and sizes,

Some are gruff, some rough, some full of surprises.

They work very hard, although some play harder,

Others you see like to frequent the larder.

We know they’re not perfect, but neither are we,

They struggle, they strive, they support family.

They teach us the things we really ought to know,
