Elgin Man Imprisoned for Forgery, St. Charles Auto Theft

Man was sentenced last month in theft of a car from a St. Charles car dealership.

An Elgin man was sentenced last month to the Illinois Department of Corrections after he pleaded guilty to burglary, one count related to the theft of a vehicle, and one count of forgery, the Kane County Chronicle reports.


Nicholas Seidel, 31, received a 10-year sentence on one count of burglary and on one count of receiving, possessing or selling a stolen vehicle — a 2002 BMW taken from Don McCue Chevrolet, 2015 E. Main St., the Chronicle reported. He also was sentence to seven years on a count of issuing or delivering a forged document. The sentences are to run concurrently, and he was admitted to the Illinois Department of Corrections on Tuesday
