  • Runners first will travel South on 1st Street until it meets up with South 2nd Street (Route 31), where runners and vehicles will split the road in half. Officers directing traffic will move one lane of traffic at a time until the final runner has passed south on Route 31 into Geneva.

  • About 8 a.m., officers and emergency personnel will be in place along Riverside Avenue (Route 25) to assist with traffic direction as runners head back to downtown St. Charles. Several East Side roadways along the river will be detoured or divided due to the run.

  • Both the Prairie Street and Illinois Street Bridges will be closed during the entire event.

  • Police advise motorists to allow for extra time and patience wduring the marathon. Vehicles that need to cross the Fox River must use the Main Street Bridge in St. Charles or the State Street Bridge in Geneva.

Police remind drivers to watch for runners, spectators and emergency responders assisting with the event.
