Today in St. Charles: Equine Film Festival Opens, and STC Lives!

If you are looking for something to do today and you like horses, consider stopping at the Arcada Theatre, 105 E. Main St., which hosts its first Equine Film Festival through Sunday, in conjunction with the Festival of the Horse and Drum, which runs Saturday and Sunday.

The film festival, which was planned to coincide with the horse festival at the Kane County Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday, will feature films twice daily. Check out the lineup on the Arcada’s Info page for the festival.

STC Live! brings a trifecta of local entertainment to downtown Friday evening, thanks to the Downtown St. Charles Partnership. Plaza Folk Union, which delighted crowds Wednesday evening, returns to First Street Plaza from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, along with the music of Carl King from 7 to 8 p.m. at Kimmer’s Ice Cream, 1 W. Illinois St., and the Magic of Arman Sangalang from 7 to 8 p.m. at Main Street and Route 31.
